Konstantin Soukhovetski is rapidly earning a reputation as a “young pianist who captivates” with his “distinctive lyricism”, “immaculate technique” and “vigor…refinement… and drama”.

Highlights of 2006-2007 season include: William Petschek Debut Recital Award recital at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, 14-performance tour of South Africa in March 2007, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban among others. Additional performances are: Arium NYC; Rockefeller University, NYC; Louvre Museum, Paris; The Music Festival of The Hamptons, NY; Pianofest gala at Music Academy of The West, Santa Barbara, CA; St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA; Waynesburg College, PA; McInnes Auditorium Eastern University, St. David's, PA; "World of Piano" Series at Shenandoah University; Parkersburg, WV.

Mr. Soukhovetski will also perform on the Seven Seas Voyager Cruise Liner this May with the members of the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra. 
Among his orchestral engagements this season are: Auburn Symphony Orchestra, CA with Michael Goodwin; Johannesburg Philharmonic, South Africa; Eastern Cape Philharmonic, SA and KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic, SA.

Mr. Soukhovetski’s Johannesburg Debut Recital was voted the third of ten top most important cultural events of the year 2005 by South African National Newspaper Die Burger. The past season orchestral engagements were with Cape Town Philharmonic with Conrad von Alphen, KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic with Francois Xavier –Roth, Eastern Cape Symphony with Alan Stephenson and Auburn Symphony, CA with Enrique B•tiz.

Recent seasons’ highlights include recitals in Amman, Jordan and Beirut, Lebanon; Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall; Pro Arte Musical, San Juan, Puerto Rico; Rockefeller University, NYC; Kent State University, OH and University of Tennessee, TN. During 2002-2004 seasons the orchestral engagements included appearances with Cleveland Orchestra with Jahja Ling, Austin Symphony, MN with Steven Ramsey and Hilton Head Orchestra with Mary Woodmansee Green.
His radio appearances have included a one-hour live performance on NPR’s Performance Today hosted by Fred Child; a feature on WQXR’s Young Artist Showcase and a TV appearance on South Carolina’s Talk of the Town talk-show.

Before coming to the US in 1999, Konstantin toured France, Italy, Romania, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and North America. Prior to entering The Juilliard School where he has earned his BM and MM degrees and in 2003 received Arthur Rubinstein Prize Mr. Soukhovetski studied at the Moscow Central Special Music School under the auspices of Moscow State Conservatory.

Among over 10 awards Mr. Soukhovetski has received are: Second Prize at 
2004 UNISA International Piano Competition in Pretoria, South Africa, Third Prize at 2003 Cleveland International Piano Competition, Winner of Juilliard’s 2003 Gina Bachauer Competition, First Prize winner at the 2002 Hilton Head International Piano Competition, Second Prize at the 2002 Walter W. Naumburg International Piano Competition and 2004 Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for new Americans. Mr. Soukhovetski was born in Moscow in 1981 to a family of artists and began his music studies at the age of four. His family still resides in Moscow, Russia.
