The Unburied

The "unburied" are the players in this body of work. They victims of one of the greatest tragedies in Venezuela's democratic history, a massacre that wrote a new chapter in the history of disappearances in Latin America. The victims are the people who went missing on February 27, 1989, buried in common graves and still not identified. It is a tribute to the missing and their families.
The blueprint images are from photographs taken in the cemetery as sixty-five bodies were exhumed in 1992. Unable to be identified, forensic notations were made and the body parts returned to the mass graves.
