DESCRIPTION: Five Germans and two Japanese died while interned in Fort Lincoln. All were initially buried in the camp cemetery—a burial ground from an earlier time when Fort Lincoln served as a military fort. After the war, the remains of the Japanese men were sent back to their families in California. The German bodies were sent, along with the military remains, to the Little Big Horn Cemetery in Montana for reburial.
