increase: Ann Hamilton / Michael Mercil: increase: Ann Hamilton / Michael Mercil was published in conjunction with an exhibition organized by the North Dakota Museum of Art. Hamilton and Mercil are wife and husband, intellectual partners and renowned artists. Over a period of years the two came to the North Dakota Museum of Art on family weekends to spend time with the space of the Museum. Michael wanted a joint exhibition at the Museum for his father who was living in Grand Forks, ND. Thoughts on how to use the spacious galleries were bounced back and forth. Little by little ideas were conceived and visions came to life. The result of which was increase: Ann Hamilton / Michael Mercil.
